Book Review: For Small Creatures Such as We

For Small Creatures Such as We by Sasha Sagan
This lovely lovely book by Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan takes a look at the deep wonder and wild mysteries of Life from a secular standpoint—I have always felt that the heart of every religion—love (which for me is synonymous with wonder and beauty) makes me able to align with any faith, any religion. Sasha’s window into secularism touched the same deep places in me as every religion’s heart ever has.

If wonder and beauty, if how to live closer to what matters, calls, there’s much here for you. I delighted in Sasha’s secular/atheistic perspective as much as the most fervent believer—love at the center, wonder and beauty on each side—yes.

Please read this, or anything really, reading, turning pages, opening our minds through taking in others’ words is a rebellious act, one that is called for in these times.
