Two mornings ago I was woken by birdsong. It was still dark so those brave day-starting birds, whoever they are, are returned! Winter is dark, but somehow I forgot about the silence—now my dayscape is filed with so many more sounds:  the birds, the frogs from my neighbor’s pond… I feel like I can almost hear the pop crackle and quickening of the green things finding their way up here into the light of day. The tiny white and purple flowers, the daffodils, the nettles and apple blossoms. So much glory. One warm sunny day, and all is right and well again.

And, the world. The chaos and intensity of ‘out there’ feels like Spring—frenetic, disorganized, overwhelming… and what to do or say, how to speak, how to find a doable path of action?  What scale to live at, act at, care at?

For me, the What and the How emerge from making time for Still and Silent, making time for Grief and Fury, making time for my people and prioritizing times to GATHER in deep connection and care. 

In safe groups of people, we remember our nature, we feel our inner landscape more fully, we settle and organize our inner world. This is just the way we are made: the creatures we are require circle, communion, connection of several—not crowds, not just one, something in between. 

SO, please consider joining me to gather, to resource yourself in community, to serve and be served, to build resilience for out there—this begins in here and in safe, sweet spaces where love and care can flow.
